Shidi Aesthetics Furniture: Our StoryIn 2015, the first chair prototype of Shidi Aesthetics took shape in a workshop in Foshan, Guangdong—not just “furniture manufacturing,” but a group of idealists blending Italian design elegance with Chinese craft solidity, to redefine daily seating.
Rooted in Foshan, we’ve always looked at furniture through a global lens: we’ve witnessed Italian artisans caressing fabrics in century-old workshops, and we understand Chinese families’ need for “comfort to sit, style to display.” Thus, we anchored our philosophy: “People-first, less is more”—no overornamented luxury, just minimalist lines wrapped in Italian refinement; no flashy materials, just Foshan’s meticulous craft, turning molded foam’s plushness, fiberglass’s support, and aluminum’s lightness into the experience of “no fatigue after long sits, no hassle to move.”
Our chairs are often described as “luxurious to look at, reliable to use”: the silhouette of the dark gray swivel chair went through 12 drafts by Italian designers; the velvet seat was chosen after testing 30 fabrics for skin-friendliness; even the angle of the aluminum legs was adjusted 8 times to ensure “smooth rotation without wobble.”
From a 2015 workshop to today’s living rooms, Shidi’s “simplicity” is never lazy subtraction—it’s cutting all “showy excess,” tucking Italian elegance and Foshan craft into the comfort of “never wanting to get up.” Shidi’s “luxury” is never a price tag—it’s making every chair both a stylish space accent, and a daily essential you forget exists… until you can’t live without it.
